Get Back To The Truth

Meet the Owner
When you want to help people, tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, tell them what they want to hear.
- Thomas Sowell
THE HOW
With over 30 years in Commercial and Industrial Sales, Product and Sales Management, I have seen many plans and formulas for success. Some worked and some didn't. The main reason for failure was complexity. The most brilliant plan is worthless if it doesn't make sense to those who have to implement it and get them excited. Don't teach teenagers physics by deriving the formula for F=ma. Show them how it works. Terms like "value proposition", "differentiation", and "product positioning" are all important to every business, but are absolutely worthless if customers don't experience them. My goal is to use a sales driven focus to make proven processes understandable and drive repeatable results.
THE WHAT
My oldest son discovered soccer at three years old. His passion was evident immediately. It challenged me. This was about the only sport I didn't play growing up, but I knew and had coached sports. Not much later, I held two National level coaching licenses and had center refereed at a high level in club and in varsity high school matches. The story is an analogy for my passion for continuous learning, in life and business. There are many similarities across all businesses, but each is unique. For me, exploring enough of those eccentricities to help is second nature and fun in every engagement. Combining similarities with the special sauce provides solid insights to success.
THE WHY
I stumbled on my greatest love (besides my family), over 30 years ago while serving in the Navy and living in North Pensacola. Coaching young people in sports, and later adults in various disciplines, watching "the light go on" is very fulfilling. Additionally, entrepreneurs have always intrigued me. I gravitated to many of them as friends. This often led to countless hours of time assisting them start and run their businesses. Combining an extensive career in Corporate America with my passions was, as they say, a "no-brainer".
