Little things make a big difference

In keeping with my theme, "little things make a big difference", I want to share an experience of my own. In my 30+ years of corporate employment, one company stands out. It was only about five years and over a decade ago. Perhaps it was the specific group of people? Whenever they pop up on Facebook or LinkedIn, there are fond memories. Along with those memories, there was one small token of appreciation which sticks out. Every year, on the employees birthday, the company sent out two movie tickets. Something so little, but a reminder that the person mattered. What are you doing today to make sure everyone knows they matter?
